NCLEJ's Young Professionals Network for Economic Justice

NCLEJ's Young Professionals Network ("YPN" or "Network") is a network of dedicated young professionals who are committed to advancing the cause of economic justice for low-income families, individuals, and communities, as well as raising the visibility of NCLEJ. Additionally, the YPN is a forum for social networking and very importantly, a fun, productive organization that attracts a dedicated, passionate group of young professionals.

To create, launch and lead this network, NCLEJ established a Steering Committee by inviting a number of extraordinary individuals who work or have worked with NCLEJ as fellows, deferred associates, volunteers and external pro bono counsel. In accepting this invitation, the Steering Committee members assumed a tremendous responsibility; they have put together every aspect of creating a successful networking group, such as drafting a mission statement, designing webpages, using their personal and professional contacts to attract young professionals and drafting posts to generate conversation and momentum around the YPN, just to name a few.

The Steering Committee brings together young professionals through social networking events, such as happy hours, charity auctions or lunch-n-learns, for example. NCLEJ sees the YPN as an opportunity for young New Yorkers to build leadership skills, network, and stay current on key public benefit issues - all while having fun!
